Event Planning in a group chat is a light weight, easy to use app feature which allows group members to collaboratively plan events with other group members.

Context

Inspite of being so active socially, planning events is a nightmare these days. Most of the plans fail because people miss out on the event details or are unaware of the number of people going which can can motivate them to attend the event. Social dynamics play a great role in success or failure of an event.

Group chats can be an easy solution to this problem. Event planning  can become a light-weight, simple to use feature within a group chat which allows group members to collaboratively plan events with other group members.

Role and process

The project came to me as a design task from Directi as a part of their UX Designer hiring process. The brief was to design an Event planning feature within a group chat which allows group members to collaboratively plan events with other group members.
